Description
This piece is the face of the world as it could be, if we change. If we look within and start respecting ourselves and the planet we reside upon for a short space of time. When we as a species can look at our own refection and see something better than this then we can make a change.
Shilah Sayer aka Soothsayer 2000 is a digital artist hailing from Leeds. His art is often a literal narrative of the zeitgeist of the world. A reflection of society in all its beauty and terror. Often poking fun at the establishment and giving a knowing nod to those who are conspiratorially minded.
Some of the designs have taken over 100 hours to create, They are laden with detail and visual Easter eggs that you have to scrutinise to find and analyse to understand. Ranging from studies in sacred geometry to intensely intricate dystopian environments.
A Soothsayer is someone who can foresee the future. This collection was originally released in 2010 but some of his subject matter is now more relevant than ever.
Like Shilah says “The future is never certain. But it is ours”
